I am a Professor at the Department of Economics (School of Economics, Universitat de Barcelona) and a Researcher at the Barcelona Institut of Economics (IEB) where I run the Research Program ‘Cities’. I am the director of  the UB Chair Urban Economics City of Barcelona. I am also a Research Fellow at CEMFI, the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and at CESifo. I am currently the holder on an ICREA Academia 2022.

My research interests include urban economics, economic geography and public economics.
